Help support Sharon's journey to homeownership!
A fundraising campaign for Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City.
About This Campaign
My mom referred to Sharon Lindsay as her guardian angel. Mom lived in an independent residential community in Kansas City. She was fiercely independent and was not one to ask for help. Mom shooed away many of the nurse's aides that worked at the facility. But Sharon saw through her bravado and realized she had to find a way to make sure mom received the attention and care she needed. It wasn't long before the two were inseparable. Sharon made sure mom ate her meals, made it to church on Sundays, showed up for all the special events onsite, and simply enjoy the time she had left. I saw how strong their bond was during several visits over time. I also learned that Sharon was doing all this for Mom and others while being a mom for a 3 year old. We talked a bit about the challenges she has faced and how her perseverance and true strength of character and faith in God have been her guiding lights.
One of her dreams is to own her own home so her daughter can play in her own backyard. I'm hoping we can help make her dream a reality. In these times of great change, it is an honor and a privilege to be the change you wish to see in the world...I thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
Pam Williamson
