Building Community: An Interfaith Virtual Panel logo
Join us on August 25th at 2 pm for Building Community; an interfaith virtual panel. This event will highlight conversations with like-minded leaders from the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities who work each day to build a better, more inclusive, Kansas City community. This year House of Abraham is more than just what we build on a construction site. It’s about what we build off the construction site – interfaith relationships that promote dialogue and cooperation among area faith communities while working together to fulfill our mission.

Moderated by Rev. Kelly Isola, Chair Emerita, Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council and Founder of Humans of Interfaith in the Heartland, the conversation will include the following panelists:

  • Sofia Khan,  Founder of KC for Refugees and Chair of the Islamic Center of Johnson County Interfaith Committee
  • Saleem Rasheed,  Media and Communications Director for Al Inshirah Islamic Center
  • Rabbi Doug Alpert,  Congregation Kol Ami
  • Reverend Cheryl Jefferson Bell, Pastor of Community Justice at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection
  • Rosa Fregoso, Future Habitat KC Homeowner
